Eden Gardens will not Host New Zealand Test Against India

BCCI will have to look for various alternative venues for New Zealand 2nd test match against India as the Cricket Association of Bengal expressed its inability to host the rubber.

Cricket Association of Bengal said they don't accept BCCI's offer to host the match due to ongoing renovation work at the Eden Gardens for the 2011 World Cup.

The second Test from November 12 to 16 can't be held here due to the renovation work.

This test match was originally allotted to Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association but they too expressed inability to host it.

Eden will host four matches - England vs India on February 27, South Africa vs Ireland on March 15, Netherlands vs Ireland on March 18 and Kenya vs Zimbabwe on March 20.

An ICC team will visit Eden Gardens for final inspection on December 8.

Eden Gardens previously hosted a test match between Zealand and India in 1965 this match ended in a draw.
