An initial offer which was rejected from the Gunners for the services of Frenchman’s, Sevilla finally had an agreement with the North London club.
Sebastien Squillaci is currently on a trip to England and is likely to sign at the Emirates on next Tuesday.
According to Sevilla website: "Defender Sebastien Squillaci is tonight traveling to London to have a medical at Arsenal, the club he will be transferred to after an agreement was reached by the two clubs pending the results of the medical."
Gunner’s manager, Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is in plans to change the defensive ranks this summer. Wenger would reward William Gallas, Sol Campbell, Philippe Senderos and Mikael Silvestre, who are going to leave the club.
Squillaci, who joined Sevilla from Les Gones two years ago, asked to leave the Champions League play-off against Braga last week.
