Tomas Berdych defeated A Golubev in first round with 7-6(5), 6-2 and 6-2. In second round, he defeated B Becker with 7-5, 6-3 and 6-4 and in third round, T Berdych defeated D Istomin with 6(1)-7, 7-6(5), 6(8)-7, 6-3 and 6-4. In the fourth round, he defeated D Brands with 4-6, 7-6(1), 7-5, 6-3.
