Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha, Nagpur
Deccan Chargers vs Rajasthan Royals – IPL 2010 – 36th Match
Pitch : An unexpected pitch. Though it will help the bowlers little bit but as anyone would expect this pitch too is meant for big scores. Win the toss and bat 1st. That’s what the trend is so far in the tournament.
Stats
DC: If they lose this one they will be out of the tournament surely. The defending champions played the gamble of not playing Vaas in later matches of the series and that backfires them big time. Though this is there home ground (officially), but it would be never home like feeling. The bowling is their weakest link. They tend to give so many runs which ultimately put the pressure on their batsmen. Gilly’s form too is bit of concern as he is unable to give good start to the team and that’s certainly not helping the team.
RR: The team may be losing few matches but the magical Shane Warne’s unknown players have achieved alot once again. The 1st time IPL champions played an extrodinary game against the Chennai Super Kings. They tried to chase down an impossible target of 247 and they were short of just 20 odd runs. It will be all over for them as well if they lose this one. What a coinidence, the champs of IPL 1 and 2 are fighting the battle to remain in the hunt for IPL 3 and one will be out of this tournament on Monday.

Players
Naman Ojha: This young lad has played 2 amazing inning for RR in the tournament. His latest inning against the Chennai Super of 90 odd runs was superb exhibition of fightback. He ensured Shane Warne that the team needs not to be depend on Yusuf Pathan alone now. Would be a key factor in giving RR a great start in a do or die match.
Shane Watson: The hero of IPL 1 is back and played an astonishing inning against the CSK, the very 1st match of his in the current IPL. He was missing big time and Shane Warne would be making strategy around him, as he could bowled as well. An all round performance would keep his team in hunt for the place of semi final.
Pragyan Ojha: The left arm spinner has impressed many people in the current IPL. He has put on breaks on the opposite batsmen in the middle overs. The only bowler apart from Vaas, looks like taking wickets and controlling the things in his team’s favour.
Rohit Sharma: This IPL has gone below average for him. Hasn’t played any single significant knock for his team. The man who used to play crucial innings when DC needed from him, is unable to live up to the same expectation in the current season. Would know the importance of this game and he could turns the thing in favour of DC.
